You must have heard about Eric’s escapades since his father became the president. Well, Eric has been caught again talking about what he should never say.
According to golf writer James Dodson, he has revealed that Eric confirmed to him that it was the Russians who funded the Trump family golf courses.
Three years ago, Dodson was invited to golf with Trump at the Trump National Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Dodson asked Trump how he was funding his golf course development and Trump told him that he had access to $100 million.
The perfect person to confirm this again was Eric, and Dodson didn’t waste the opportunity.
“So when I got in the cart with Eric,” Dodson says, “as we were setting off, I said, ‘Eric, who’s funding? I know no banks — because of the recession, the Great Recession — have touched a golf course. You know, no one’s funding any kind of golf construction. It’s dead in the water the last four or five years.’
Eric said, ‘Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.’ I said, ‘Really?’ And he said, ‘Oh, yeah. We’ve got some guys that really, really love golf, and they’re really invested in our programs. We just go there all the time.’ Now that was three years ago, so it was pretty interesting.”
Dear Lord, Eric foolishly confirmed that the Trump family got dealings with the Russians and that his father had visited Russia sometimes.
Shouldn’t Dodson’s revelations make a subpoena to the Treasury Department for Trump’s tax returns a certainty?
